Who we are

Our instinct is to see challenges from a new vantage point by turning them on their head.

Call it environment or culture, ours is different.

Our instinct is to see challenges from a new vantage point by turning them on their head. We look for passionate people who want to do some good and have fun. The best kind of work doesn’t feel like work at all. That’s Headstand.

We recognize that one size does not fit all. There must be evolution to meet the modern brand’s demand for new ways of thinking and partnering with agencies. More choice, more customization and more individuality, for starters. We believe that visionaries can change the world, and we want to help those leaders realize their ambitions, just as our founders did with brands like YouTube and Dropbox during their humble beginnings.

We're not your average startup. Headstand was born from a fierce entrepreneurial spirit which jump-started our parent company, Allison+Partners, nearly two decades ago. Now with more than 30 offices and 400 people, the agency spun off Headstand to take on the world with that same "fight of the underdog" spirit.

Our leadership team has extensive experience in a variety of industries including consumer tech, B2B tech, CPG, health & wellness, food & beverage, travel & hospitality (and plenty that don’t even fall into a “traditional” category). All of this means we're uniquely suited to service clients in any industry and at any stage of business who are seeking flexibility and customization in their agency partnership. From startup to Fortune 500, we'll craft an approach and structure our partnership in the best way for you.

Meet the Executive Team

Headstand is more than a place to work, it’s a community – and a different one at that. It takes a certain kind of person to buck the safe trajectory often offered by other agencies and be okay with the unknown…all in the name of building something new, something powerful and something worth championing.

While some might characterize us as small but mighty, we just like to think of ourselves as mighty. We are no newbie startup – this team has experience advocating, launching and creating buzz for video game consoles, automobiles, AI technology, driving apps, social media platforms, entertainment products, coffee, toys, hotels, restaurants, books, health systems...even Mennonite cookbooks. Some of these experiences were blissfully unforgettable and others were tough, but all taught us something important that we carry with us to this day and that guides us in our work.

Thing is, we’re hungry for more. And we’re eager to work with both new and established brands who are looking for a true co-pilot on the ride that is modern communications.
